What youll be doing
We are seeking a Server and Data Centre Engineer at all levels for upcoming projects to work within our project team for a key client in the resources sector. You will work on varied and interesting ICT infrastructure projects starting from project inception through solution design and implementation and then handing over to the operational team. This role will be predominantly officebased project work in Brisbane with occasional interstate travel. Typical tasks may include:
Design deployment and configuration of client/server and data centre infrastructure including physical and virtual compute storage cloud backup security etc.
Patching and upgrading supported systems in line with policy
Provide technology leadership across onpremise and cloud workload planning and strategy. Assess existing infrastructure to evaluate lifecycle performance or configuration and provide guidance and recommendations for optimization or remediation of issues.
Contribute to highlevel and lowlevel designs and roadmaps within specialized knowledge domains.
Producing and maintaining technical documentation reports and records regarding infrastructure solutions.
Providing technical support troubleshooting and fault rectification of technical issues related to supported infrastructure and applications
Conducting acceptance tests and commissioning of systems and applications
Working with suppliers/carriers/vendors as required to identify and resolve technical issues
Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and accuracy to ensure projects are delivered to a high quality within the specified time constraints

What will make you successful in this role
Experience support Windows Server including DNS AD Group Policy Print Management File Services DHCP.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare MS HyperV Citrix Hypervisor etc.
Experience with converged and hyperconverged Data Centre technologies such as Dell VxRail Nutanix HCI etc.
Experience with enterprise storage solutions such as NetApp Dell EMC Pure Storage etc. Basic understanding of AzureAWS and cloud concepts.
Experience with Data protection technologies such as Veeam Commvault etc.
Experience with patching Windows systems via MECM.
PowerShell Scripting for automation.
Experience with Mining Sector and Process Control Environments.
Highly Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
