Job Description
Title:
Process Engineer LNGKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and valueadded solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include worldclass licensed process technologies differentiated advisory services deep technical domain expertise energy transition solutions highend design capabilities and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
KBR seeks a Process Engineer LNG for the Houston office.Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
The Process Engineer is knowledgeable in most process engineering activities related to executing grassroots or revamp engineering projects for LNG production facilities including utilities liquefaction and pretreatment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate should be capable of executing work on large and mediumsized projects or areas within larger projects and must be wellversed in applicable industrystandard design codes. Responsible for executing activities such as process modeling development of heat and material balances utility balances process flow diagrams (PFD) hydraulic calculations flare and relief analysis and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) system design parameters and design or rating of equipment such as vessels towers exchangers pumps etc.
Capable of performing process studies to include Process Optimization Study to confirm/optimize the oil processing Configuration Flare Relief Blowdown/Depressurizing Vent system Design Cooling Medium Study Heating Medium Study utility system sizing Condensate Handling Study Management of Produced Solids Report sand handling and Produced Water Treatment Study. Participate in safety reviews including HAZOP/HAZID studies and process safety assessment.
He or she will be called upon to provide technical guidance on complex issues requiring independent analysis or judgment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience executing FEED projects preferable LNG projects..
- Proficiency in process engineering software tools such as HYSYS Aspen Plus and PipeSim for process simulation and analysis.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Most of their experience is with a major EPC company and not at a production facility.
- Requirements for this position include a bachelors or masters degree in chemical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience.
