Summer Internship Program
The Vestal Corporation internship experience is focused on inVesting in you! As a part of the Vestal Intern program you will gain handson experience in all aspects of projects. You will get exposure to clients and contractors as well as other internal partners. Our interns are vital members of our team. And we encourage you to bring what youve learned in the classroom and help drive innovation.
Program Details: Vestal Corporation hosts a 12week internship program. Beginning on Monday May 19 2025 and ending on Friday August 8 2025.
JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineer Intern will work with Electrical Designers and Engineers to use various design software to create accurate drawings.
JOB DUTIES:
- Utilize design software to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models of custom equipment based on client specifications and project requirements.
- Create project documents as required including bills of materials parts lists etc.
- Communicate variances in job scope effectively.
- Ensure technical support is provided to the appropriate teams: Design and Fabrication
- Ensure proper communication with all teams throughout the duration of each project.
- Work diligently to ensure there are no disruptions on projects.
- Comply with Companys Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
- Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organizations goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
- This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Working towards an Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Design or Electrical Engineering or similar is required.
- Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite Revit AutoCAD).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Construction Industry.
- Strong attention to detail facilitation team building collaboration organization and problemsolving skills.
- Requires effective time management skills personal conduct and change management abilities.
- Ability to effectively interact with coworkers clients vendors and other business contacts.
- Must comply with Vestal Corporations core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.
