The Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Management Branch is responsible for developing implementing and managing leading edge sourcing initiatives that will drive value and achieve cost savings for City departments Library Services and Ottawa Police Services. The Branch establishes sound strategic sourcing practices for a wide range of complex and high profile citywide projects that span the full sourcing lifecycle including research and industry analyses strategy development project planning scheduling resource allocation and executive reporting.
Working in a highvolume invoice processing centre you are responsible for supervising and motivating Accounts Payable staff. You also perform supporting activities which include preparing account reconciliations and year end accrual entries preparing and performing tests to validate financial system configuration changes and assisting with various initiatives to improve processes to realize efficiencies.
Completion of 4 year university degree in Commerce (Finance) Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible financial management and supervisory experience in an accounting and invoice processing environment.
Knowledge of the City organization financial policies and procedures is an asset
