The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data structures and proven history of success in data architecture design and analysis. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) will be considered a plus. You will be a key team member leading project that will transform and optimize our Project Performance program. The candidate will develop and implement data architecture strategies to transform and optimize our Project Performance suite of systems to support our business intelligence needs. You will create and design realtime dashboards and dynamic notifications to ensure project teams can track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to schedule cost risk quality and compliance metrics. Design and implement forecast capabilities to ensure projects are responsive to change. Implement and maintain data pipelines ensuring data quality. You will ensure monthly DOE reporting in a JSON format is successful. You will work in close collaboration with stakeholders across multiple projects and organizations both internal and externally.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Utilize your technical disciplines and work closely with functional and business team members stakeholders external vendors and IT to design and develop to support dataforward approaches based on approved architecture and business requirements.
  • Design and implement innovative solutions to transform the Project Performance data strategy.
  • Participate as a team member in projects through effective communication with peers stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure solutions are wellengineered optimized operable and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies change management guidelines cyber security requirements and software quality assurance processes.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation related to data design and solutions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Responsible for improving general data knowledge leadership skills and capabilities and providing technical consultation as required. Will lead Data Design and Business Intelligence Design efforts Project Performance.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Masters degree: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • OR PhD: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • ORFIFTEEN years of relevant education and experience may be used to satisfy the educations requirements.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in data analytics structure design transformation and visualization
  • ETL tools such as Talend Oracle data integrator MS SQL Integration Services etc
  • Data virtualization tools such as Denodo Oracle Virtualization etc
  • Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau Oracle BI & Analytics SAP BusinessObjects etc
  • Database development tools such as TOAD dbVisualizer MongoDB PostgreSQL MySQL etc
  • Knowledge in P6 WebEVM Acumen Sage or Empower a plus
  • Experience working on Government projects and/or systems preferably DOE
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management methodologies systems and emerging practices a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills across technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Demonstrated success leading in a team environment
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative positive team environment

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
