About The Team

The Leadership Services and People Strategy team is a key part of the People and Culture Office (PCO) driving initiatives that enables Murdoch Universitys people and teams to succeed. Covering strategic human resources organisational development learning and performance business partnering and equity diversity and inclusion (EDI) the team works to create a dynamic supportive and highperforming environment. Equity diversity and inclusion is foundational to Murdoch Universitys identity and a core part of its origin story shaping our values and vision. As a key strategic theme EDI underpins the universitys commitment to fostering a commitment to building a welcoming diverse and inclusive community.

By promoting cultural change strengthening leadership capability and supporting professional growth the team aligns people strategies with the universitys goals

Your New Role!

As the Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead you will be a vital part of the People and Culture Office driving the integration of EDI principles across HR programs policies processes and projects to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.

This role works in close collaboration with the Office of EDI and has a dotted reporting line to the ProVice Chancellor Equity Diversity and Inclusion ensuring strong alignment with universitywide EDI strategies.

Your Key responsibilities will include

  • Be the main point of contact for all EDIrelated queries within the Chief People Office.
  • Advise on integrating EDI into HR policies and practices ensuring compliance.
  • Support the development of inclusive programs such as genderbased violence prevention.
  • Collaborate on EDI projects and accreditations driving alignment with universitywide strategies.
