Essential Functions Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Talent Acquisition Development and Retention Project Delivery Business Development Financial Performance and conformance to McAdams Company Goals and Values.
Lead a production team provide resource management resolve complex technical problems coach train and mentor design professionals and work collaboratively with all team members on all aspects of project
Coordinate and oversee resource scheduling to ensure workload and deadlines are managed effectively
Establish promote and ensure quality on all projects and work performed by group staff
Develop proposals or contracts that ensure the contract scope is adequate for the project provide the desired level of profitability and ensure that the project schedule is viable
Understand business initiatives and concerns of current and prospective clients to recognize and promote new opportunities and crosssell other services provided by the firm
Responsible for the development of shortterm and longterm strategic market sector plans for the Renewable Energy practice area
Responsible for the profitable operation of a Renewable Energy Practice area within the Energy sector at McAdams
Representation of McAdams at industry events at professional organizations and conferences (regional and national) development as a thought leader within these organizations.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in civil engineering renewable energy engineering or a related field
PE required
7 years of related experience and/or training in the renewable energy sector
Highly motivated to develop a Renewable Energy practice
Possess technical expertise in civil engineering as it applies to Renewable Energy projects
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to carry a project through the design process independently and within a team framework
Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow key relationships
Proven knowledge of budget impacts and profit and revenue expectations
Demonstrated ability to think critically while preparing and executing strategic plans for growth
Proven relationships within the community that are of value in the development of a Renewable Energy practice
Previous A/E/C firm experience preferred.
