As the Managing Director Marketing for Fundraising & Development youll play a key leadership role on the Stand Together Marketing and Communications team and be responsible for the development and delivery of innovative marketing strategies that directly advance the organizations fundraising and development initiatives. You will collaborate with key stakeholders on our bestinclass Development Team to build integrated MarComms plans that drive substantial growth and achievement of fundraising objectives through engagement with existing and new donor partners. The ideal candidate possesses strong fundraising knowledge a deep grasp of B2B audience marketing principles/strategies/tactics and a commitment to driving positive societal change through bottomup empowerment. This position partners with our core MarComms capabilities to ensure we have consistent and impactful messaging multichannel campaign optimization and frameworks that inform audience journeys.
What You Will Do
Partner with the Development team to develop strategic and integrated multichannel MarComms plans to achieve department goals within allotted timelines.
Build audience journeys that create visibility for various stages of partner decisionmaking and guide how marketing and development teams work together to engage prospective and existing partners.
Work closely with STs Research and Analytics team and Development Operations to identify target segments audiences and insights.
In partnership with the Creative team develop content strategies and creative concepts that resonate with donor audiences and inspire engagement and action towards Stand Togethers vision and priorities.
Oversee the creation and of sales enablement collateral including pitch decks brochures videos testimonials content etc.
In partnership with the Events team oversee and support of Development events.
Partner with the demand gen team to inform a strategy that drives donor acquisition retention and engagement while creating opportunities for investment crosspollination where appropriate.
Continuously monitor and analyze donor engagement metrics market trends and audience insights to inform and refine marketing strategy and tactics.
Implement testing and experimentation opportunities to enhance learning and marketing effectiveness.
Define key performance indicators and track and report on the success of marketing efforts.
What You Will Bring
10 years of professional experience in marketing strategy and in fundraising business development or sales with a proven track record of driving transformational results at scale.
Strong track record designing and executing successful donor engagement and fundraising strategies and campaigns that identify engage and retain target audiences over the longterm.
Proven success in translating organizational vision and highlevel objectives into strategic and actionable multichannel marketing plans that deliver on audience goals and success measurements.
Experience with donor databases CRM systems and related analytics tools (i.e. Moves Management Strategies)
Exceptional writing storytelling and communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams in a fastpaced complex and highly matrixed organization.
A visionary and strategic leader who can champion Stand Togethers vision by modeling and applying our guiding principles while inspiring others to the same.
Knowledge of fundraising best practices and donor stewardship strategies.
Familiarity with nonprofit compliance and ethical fundraising standards.
Experience managing budgets and working with external vendors.
