Location and Work Setup: We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join our team in the Banking sector being responsible for understanding both the business drivers and needs regarding data as well as the technical points of Data Management while establishing a cultureof properly managed data and governance. The position is based in the Bucharest Office near Grozavesti metro station with a flexible hybrid way of working.
Responsibilities:
- The central objective of this role is to ensure that the organizations data management disciplines are running effectively and meet the businesss needs regarding data while developing a data governance culture within the organization
- You are responsible for helping to define and roll out the data governance framework within BCR as a key enabler of our data transformation: business data dictionary data quality data lineage usage of certified data sourcesand report metadata are just a few of the capabilities to manage our data in an efficient manner
- The business will be guided and supported by you to roll out these data governance activities in practice within their domain: Your focus will be on facilitating the data governance activities by coaching the business teams and providing best practices. You create the bridge between the business teams and the Data teams
- You will help ensure that our datas availability reliability and quality continue to improve (to this effect you will work closely with the different business teams and the IT/transformation teams)

What are we looking for:
- To quickly pick up the role it is useful that you have a Bachelor or Masters degree preferably in an economic analytical or IT discipline and have a proven first professional experience in Business Analysis Data Governance or Data Management in Banking Industry and plus if worked with some Tools on this area
- You are passionate about data flows & business data models eager to learn and want to grow as an expert in this field. As an ambassador you can promote this passion throughout the organization
- You have intermediate SQL and database knowledge such us: joins aggregate functions dimensions and measures
- You like to think along at a strategic level and simultaneously you understand the art of translating conceptual frameworks into concrete processes procedures and systems;
- You have planning and organizing skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
- Interaction with others gives you energy. You connect easily with others and are able to build good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders gaining their trust as an advisor. Not only do others listen to you when you give advice based on your expertise but you are also able to convince them of the importance of your point so that they will apply it
