Job Description
Job Purpose:
Manage day-to-day financial operation of a hospital, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Directing investment activities, planning and operational cash management, and develop and implementing improvement of financial operational processes. Reports to the CFO.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and secure process and system support to deliver according to targets
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information while recommending further courses of action.
- Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Analyze volume, revenue, costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Complete monthly and year-end procedures including year-end postings and year-end reports.
- Coordinate annual audit with external auditors and regulatory government entities.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
- Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
Skills
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum of 10 years’ of experience in the finance and accounting field, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position/responsibility, preferably in Healthcare Sector
Other competencies (skills, abilities, behavior)
- Good English spoken & written, Arabic language advantageous/desirable, but not essential
- Competent communication skills and good interpersonal skills
- Multi-task oriented skills.
- Computer literate.
- Experience with statistical analysis and financial forecasting
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
- Good verbal and writtencommunication skills
