Planning Engineer

About the Job

• Develop project baseline plans, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, cash flow plans, and critical path method logic networks to integrate and display project activities to establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower and cost.
• Develop and submit periodic progress reports assuring a systematic review of progress and concerns.
• Resource load project schedule with estimate baselines.
• Maintain project baseline by preparing change control documentation and updating change control log.
• Incorporate approved change control actions into project baseline schedule.
• Develop, implement, analyze and maintain the critical path method schedule, work with project team to prepare project trends.
• Maintain project trend log and incorporate trends into project forecast.
• Maintain project forecast for life cycle and fiscal year evaluation.
• Maintain project allocated budget monitoring analysis for labor and non-labor procurements.
• Prepare project activity charge codes for collection of actual costs.
• Prepare weekly man hour charging reports and validate actual charges. Also prepare monthly actual cost reports and validate actual costs.
• Ensure reporting, fulfilling responsibility and accounting practices are consistent with site policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly cost v/s budget v/s earned reports and assist project manager with variance analysis and monthly earned value reports.
• Review subcontractor schedules for inclusion into the baseline.
• Perform any other duties & responsibilities as and when directed by the Direct Manager
