Job Description
- Equipment Operations
- Ensure that all equipment are in running condition to meet the project requirement and utilize the available resources at the project to reduce equipment idle time.
- Manage and fulfils request of equipment and services from company owned projects and departments.
- Ensure the drivers and operator are operating the equipment s and Vehicles in accordance with safe working procedure.
- Ensure that necessary arrangements are taken to maximize the utilization of the available resources especially the equipment and operators and to reduce the equipment idle time.
- Responsible for managing and guiding the maintenance department in day to day activities of providing various Vehicles heavy equipment machinery and tools while ensuring the effective development & implementation of Quality Management system procedures.
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Hires trains motivates counsels and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department.
- Training on Inspection / Housekeeping / Safety Procedures / PPE / HSE
- Ensure that all operators are trained to carry out daily inspection on the vehicle to ensure all controls electrical mechanical and hydraulic systems are free from leakages before starting any job to avoid accidents during operation and housekeeping after operation / ensure that the vehicle is fit for use and operational always.
- Ensure that all equipment s and operators are provided with necessary PPE and necessary HSE & safety procedures are carried out while in operation
- Gate Passes / Entry Permits
- Ensure that all equipment and operators possess relevant gate passes always. Ensure the necessary documents are submitted at least 1 month in advance for prompt renewal to avoid any idle equipment or manpower.
- Permits / Safety Requirements / Governmental Requirements
- Ensure that all operators possess valid documents (Licenses / Permits / TPI) which are relevant / required for the equipment and with valid site work permits are available prior to operation
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in mechanical project management or other related field
- 12 to 15 years of work experience in the transport field.
- Communication Skills & Leadership Skills
- Knowledge in traffic law country rules and regulations
