Job Description
Job Summary:
The Sr Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing accounts payable
transactions ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in vendor payments. This role involves
handling complex invoice processing reconciliations and assisting with process improvements and
audits.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Invoice Processing: Review verify and process cost invoices with proper approvals and
account coding
Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors address inquiries and resolve
discrepancies efficiently
Intercompany Reconciliation: Reconcile intercompany accounts across different entities
Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries related to intercompany transactions accruals and adjustments
MonthEnd & YearEnd Close: Assist with monthend and yearend closing processes including
accruals reconciliations and 1099s. Experience processing 1099s is preferred.
Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to company policies GAAP tax regulations
and proper documentation
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required
5 or more years of experience in accounts payable
Basic understanding of GAAP
Proficiency in accounting software and strong Microsoft Office skills
Strong problemsolving and reconciliation abilities
High level of accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication for external and internal collaboration
High level of accuracy in reviewing invoices payments and reconciliations
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Selfdriven and willing to move into supervisory role
Hybrid work schedule
