Spring Hill Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to join our amazing team!
JOB TITLE: Business Office Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Business Office Manager (BOM) assists the Facility Director and Clinical Manager in running the Center in an efficient costeffective and patientcentered manner.
- Supervise and work side by side with the front office staff ensuring timely completion of deliverables are met.
- Review scheduled surgery times and patient confirmations.
- Work with clinical team to coordinate required Reps for scheduled surgery.
- Communication with the Surgeons Clinical Coordinator regarding scheduling efforts booking requests medical clearances and transportation when needed.
- Oversee the flow of patient charts from inception to
- Daily Op Notes submission
- Pathology reports
- Clinical staff signoff
- Medical Record upload
- Subpoena requests
- Accounts receivable (post payment and collections)End of Day packets
- Oversee and provide support for Unbilled Report
- Life Safety
- Conduct Facility Drills
- Oversee office supplies.
- Interview hire and train office staff.
- Assist Administrator with:
- Credentialing of MDs and clinical staff
- End of month reports
- Monthly Quarterly and Yearly reports for Accrediting bodies
- Day to Day necessary tasks
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated experience using computerized accounting and billingsystems.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) (required)
- College degree in Business or Accounting (preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years experiencein an ASC or hospital/medical business office (Preferred)
- ASC or hospital/medical business office (required)
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience (preferred)
- Supervisory experience (required)

QUALIFICATIONS:
The BOM must:
- Have the ability to lead and motivate the business office staff and is responsible for supervising nonclinical personnel
- Be able to communicate effectively with upper management center staff physicians and their staffs patients their families marketing insurance and sales representatives
- Have the ability to promote favorable center image with physicians patients insurance companies and the general public
- Have knowledge of medical terminology; medical billing and coding; Medicare and Medicaid regulations
