Job Description
- Lead and develop a team of regional commodity buyers in mechatronics
- Develop and execute regional mechatronics procurement strategies focused on cost reduction quality improvement and risk management in the supply chain
- Collaborate with technical teams engineers and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain including the financial health of suppliers capacity constraints and geopolitical issues and develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply
- Negotiate and secure cost quality and delivery capabilities including escalations develop and maintain agreements with suppliers
Qualifications :
- Bachelor degree or comparable qualification with several years of professional experience ideally supplemented by Masters degree or MBA
- At least 7 years of experience in the areas of procurement supply chain management or materials management with at least 5 years in a management position in the automotive industry
- Proven success in developing and implementing global or regional raw materials strategies as well as negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of building and managing highperformance teams
- Experience in a matrix organization in a global or regional environment
- Fluent business English; knowledge of other languages (German Spanish or Eastern European languages) an advantage
- Proficiency in the MS Office package and knowledge of SAP
