Requirements:
- Education:GCSE level or above in numeracy and literacy.
- Technical Skills:IT literate with a solid understanding of construction testing.
- Experience:Minimum of 3 years in construction UKAS testing and familiarity with 17025 accredited laboratory demands.
- Driving:Must have a full UK driving license.
- Record Keeping:Accurate and consistent recordkeeping skills.
Working Hours:
- Standard:40 hours per week Monday Friday.
- Flexibility:Longer days with travel night shifts when necessary and optional weekend work.
Responsibilities:
- Operations:Ensure timely and efficient of site tests.
- Compliance:Produce test results in line with documented procedures standards and UKAS requirements.
- Team Supervision:Train motivate and deploy staff through our buddying up program.
- Safety:Maintain a safe clean and tidy working environment.
- Collaboration:Liaise with Operations Supervisors and Managers for smooth daytoday operations.
Daily Duties:
- Work safely following the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- Complete allocated work as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain team harmony and morale.
- Control incoming and stored test specimens.
- Assist in record maintenance related to the Management System.
- Train subordinate staff as required.
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas and equipment.
Main Tasks:
- Ensure the work environment and equipment are always clean and tidy.
- Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by senior staff.
- Assume responsibilities of other Senior Technicians in their absence.
- Test materials and maintain knowledge of sampling and test procedures.
