Position Summary
Must demonstrate the ability to work with clients staff and community contacts from a diversity of backgrounds with a traumainformed approach. Capacity to participate in the principles and practices of the interdisciplinary team approach. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills are required. Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups in a dynamic and engaging manner. Proficiency and experience with computer applications including all Microsoft products social media platforms and Relias database. Must be able to successfully complete trainings in the TCI and CARE curriculums.
Responsibilities:
- Train TCI and CARE as needed throughout the agency.
- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques such as role plays simulations team exercises group discussions videos or lectures.
- Monitor evaluate and record training activities or program effectiveness. Develop alternative training methods as needed.
- Partner with Director of Training and training department to create programs that develop the abilities and potentials of direct care staff.
Requirements
Education
- Associate s degree with relevant experience will be considered.
- Bachelor s degree in the human services or related field preferred.
- Certification as First Aid and CPR trainer.
Experience
- Four years childcare work experience in a trauma informed approach or relevant experience working directly with youth or families.
- Valid Driver s License
