Key Responsibilities of a Junior Accountant:
Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions journals and ledgers.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements reports and budgets.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Audits: Assist with audits by gathering and organizing financial data.
MonthEnd and YearEnd Close: Assist with monthend and yearend close procedures.
Payroll: May assist with payroll processing.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Software Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in accounting software.
Analytical Skills: Analyze financial data and identify potential issues.
Attention to Detail: Maintain accuracy and precision in all financial records
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
