Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join our team in Singapore Singapore. In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects ensuring costeffectiveness and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates bills of quantities and tender documents for M&E projects
- Analyze and evaluate tenders providing recommendations to the project team
- Conduct cost planning value engineering and life cycle costing for M&E systems
- Manage contract administration including change orders variations and claims
- Perform regular cost monitoring and reporting identifying potential cost overruns
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and contractors to optimize project costs
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Prepare monthly cost reports and final accounts for M&E projects
- Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures
- Provide expert advice on M&E systems and components to the project team
- Stay updated on industry trends regulations and sustainable building practices
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Building Economics or a related field
- Professional membership in a recognized quantity surveying institution (e.g. RICS)
- Minimum 57 years of experience in M&E quantity surveying
- Proven experience in largescale commercial or industrial projects
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g. CostX Causeway)
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems components and installation processes
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
- Advanced contract management and negotiation skills
- Indepth understanding of local building codes and regulations in Singapore
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green technologies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
