Job Description

HOW WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Rework/Repair Operator is responsible for performing various tasks including repairing belts setting up and operating equipment inspecting and ensuring nonconforming materials are properly handled. This role requires meticulous attention to detail strict adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining highquality standards to ensure the final product quality meets the customers specification.

 

  • Inspection and repair of rubber belting products as possible to ensure fit/form/function and comply with customer expectations
  • Set up and operate all equipment according to company procedures standards and work instructions.
  • Follow all processing measuring packaging and shipping procedures as directed.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations and maintains a clean organized and safe work environment
  • Utilize the NCR as a quality metric and improvement tool
    • Assist in the closure of NCRs and dispositions of repaired roles
    • Assist in determining nonconforming materials in quarantine
    • Follow up on Corrective Action submissions
  • Perform inspections and audits on materials that potentially will or wont be repaired
    • Verify inspection report data and report accordingly any disposition or repair
    • Participate in the preparation of ISIR and PPAP documentation
  • Participate in the examination evaluation and disposition of warranty items and rejected materials
  • May occasionally be required to reroll matrices as well as roll length verifications as secondary duties
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications :

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Internal Applications Only
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass the forklift certification
  • Basic slitter operation may be required as part of regular job duties
  • Working knowledge of quality policies programs methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of products applications and customer requirements/peculiarities
  • Understanding of ContiTech production capabilities and limitations
  • Strong analytical skills and problemsolving ability
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a logical systematic manner
  • Prompt attention to and effective followthrough on all production quality concerns
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to plan organize and complete duties in a timely manner

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such asplease enter certain PPE your your location (i.e. safety glasses hearing protection etc).
  • The job is within a nonclimatecontrolled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold) forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise.
  • The role involves various physical tasks including lifting and operating machinery with comprehensive training provided.

PHYSICAL / WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS:

  • Occasional sitting ranging from .25 to 2.5 hours per day
  • Continuous standing ranging from 5.5 to 8 hours per day
  • Frequent walking ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
  •  Frequent reaching ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Frequent bending/stooping from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Frequent lifting of weights ranging from 050 pounds 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Will never be required to lift weight over 50 pounds without assistance
  • Frequent pushing/pulling ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Frequent fine manipulation ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
