A leading top 100 AmLaw firm is seeking a visionary Equity Partner to establish and spearhead the Patent Litigation and Transactional Team in Denver Colorado. This strategic position is designed for an accomplished patent attorney who possesses deep expertise in both patent litigation and transactional matters has a proven track record of building successful teams and exhibits a forwardthinking approach to practice development within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Team Formation and Leadership: Launch the Patent Litigation and Transactional Team defining its strategic direction developing practice areas and fostering client relationships. The Equity Partner will be responsible for drafting and implementing comprehensive business plans to build and expand the team aligning with the firms strategic goals.
- Recruitment and Mentoring: Attract mentor and lead a dedicated team of patent attorneys and support staff promoting a culture of excellence innovation and professional development. The role demands active involvement in recruitment setting performance standards and nurturing an inclusive and highachieving workplace environment.
- Expert Legal Representation: Provide toptier legal counsel and representation in a broad spectrum of patentrelated matters including complex litigation patent prosecution IP transactions and strategic IP counseling. This entails handson involvement in highprofile cases developing case strategies leading negotiations and representing clients in court and before relevant authorities.
- Business Development: Drive the growth of the patent practice through strategic networking identifying new business opportunities and enhancing the firms presence and reputation in the intellectual property field. The Equity Partner will lead marketing initiatives participate in thought leadership and engage in client development activities.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work in tandem with partners from other practice areas to offer comprehensive legal services to clients ensuring the integration of intellectual property strategies with broader business goals. As a key member of the firms leadership contribute to firmwide strategic planning policy formulation and decisionmaking processes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in Colorado with a registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in patent law including litigation and transactional work with a notable track record of leading teams and managing a significant book of business.
- Demonstrated capability in developing a practice area strategic planning team building and business development.
- Exceptional legal skills including analytical negotiation and litigation abilities evidenced by a history of favorable outcomes in complex patent matters.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with team members clients and the broader legal community.
