Job Description

Were looking for a meticulous and wellorganized Junior Accountant to join our clients Real Estate team. This position blends responsibilities in rental coordination and accounting support with a strong emphasis on easing administrative pressure and assisting in the daily tasks tied to rental operations billing and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Accurately record and maintain financial transactions.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
    Manage daily and monthly invoicing.
  • Provide administrative support to senior accountants as required.
  • Follow up on lease renewals and lease documentation.
  • Assist in verifying FICA compliance (documents updates and checks).
    Manage credit checks and track Xero invoices.
  • Assist with maintenance requests ensuring quotes invoices and approvals are processed efficiently.
  • Follow up on proof of payments for maintenance services.
  • Liaise with property owners tenants and contractors on property maintenance matters.
  • Maintain accurate property files and records.
  • Assist with email followups reminders and general communication related to rental management.
  • Ensure smooth daytoday admin operations to keep the portfolio running efficiently.


Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • 13 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Real Estate and Rental management experience will be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
