Short description:
We offer an internship for a student (level : technician or engineer) to participate in a pilot study on a new technology in an industrial park in Ferrara Italy.
Context
Veolia the world leader for Water & Waste is a circular economy champion. This innovative project aims at transforming waste salts into valuable base & acid that can replace fresh products. This emerging technology already has a few fullscale references but it is the first for this specific application.
He/she will perform daily operations like checking everything is OK operating the pilot (filling or emptying small tanks opening valves using the automated system) and performing simple maintenance tasks under the supervision of our operators. He/she will perform analytical tasks in the lab located on the site after being teached how to do this. He/she will download & analyse the data from the supervision. A report will be written. For an engineerlevel trainee (like 3rd year engineering) : in addition the trainee will perform a bibliographic search he/she will meet with suppliers of resins or do additional tests to ascertain that the products of the pilot can effectively be used for regeneration he/she might have duties like improving the pilot designing & testing new functionnalities as well as dealing with the automation. He/she could be involved in improving our modelling of this process.
The intern will have a preliminary training by Veolia then will perform his duties on a chemical plant.
The intern will keep the highest HSE standard.
He/she will perform daily operation of an electroseparation pilot. He/she will monitor the results prepare reagents do resin regeneration perform lab
analysis.
The reporting will be done in English langage. Locally the Veolia team can communicate in English.
Qualifications :
Master of sciences preferably process engineering or water treatment
Organization autonomy
Curious scientific
English (working language)
Additional Information :
Internship duration : 4 to 6 months
safety training (a few days) : will occur in an office (Veolia or third party l)
bibliography (for the enginnering option) : can be done remotely
pilot study : a plant built & operated by Veolia located in an industrial park in Ferrara Italy.
