We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team at our Head Office in Bromley. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in managing project costs ensuring financial control and contributing to the successful delivery of construction projects within the education and healthcare sectors.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for cost estimation procurement contract negotiation and budget monitoring. You will collaborate with architects engineers contractors and suppliers to ensure that projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest standards.
Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for education and healthcare construction projects ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the financial viability of projects.
Work closely with architects engineers and contractors to align project specifications with budgets.
Prepare tender documents and oversee the tendering process including bid evaluation and contract negotiation.
Provide MS Project charts and construction methodologies to support the Bid Team in preparing competitive proposals.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure costeffective pricing and contracts.
Monitor and control project costs ensuring alignment with budget and identifying costsaving opportunities.
Assess and manage contractual risks ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Prepare financial reports and provide insights into project profitability and cost management.
Support the project delivery team by advising on financial and contractual matters throughout the construction process.
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry ideally with experience in education and healthcare projects.
Strong understanding of cost control principles estimating best practices and contract management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and MS Project.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams suppliers and clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS is advantageous but not mandatory.
