Certification: Ultrasound Technologists from ARDMS
Experience: Minimum of 1year direct patient care experience within the last 3 years in the field.
Job Summary
Echo Tech / Medical Instrument Technician (Echocardiography) performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging and Doppler frequency shift recordings to identify and document abnormalities indicative of disease injury or other medically significant conditions. The technician adapts imaging techniques to accommodate patientspecific needs and ensures highquality diagnostic imaging for cardiology assessments.
Responsibilities
Perform highquality echocardiographic imaging using Mmode twodimensional Doppler and color flow imaging.
Conduct complex cardiac studies to assess valve function chamber enlargement and pericardial effusion.
Perform stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography as needed.
Adapt imaging techniques based on patient conditions and ensure accurate diagnostic results.
Monitor patient conditions during procedures including administering contrast agents when required.
Maintain calibrate and operate specialized cardiology imaging equipment.
Accurately document patient assessments procedures and findings in CPRS and other systems.
Triage and prioritize cardiology consults coordinating care in the Cardio Lab.
