Security Guard BRT Extrusions
(This is a Full Time position from 32 to 40 hours as week)
Overview:
BRT Extrusions located in Niles OH is interviewing for a ROAMING security guard to support our growing manufacturing facility.
The hours will vary as this position will cover for those who are taking time off or when we need additional coverage. The hours will be primarily afternoon and night shift hours.
BRT is a growing aluminum extrusions company and as we grow our employees will grow as well.
We offer competitive hourly wages and for full time employees: medical dental and vision insurance at 90 days participation in our 401K (with Company match) program and paid vacation and paid holidays upon eligibility.
The Wage is $15.00/hour plus $1.65/hour for afternoon and night time shifts.
Essential duties of The Security Guard:
- Make security rounds inside and outside the facility (walking/driving) with specific checkpoints to ensure safety of property and employees and log all findings on appropriate log sheet.
- Ensure the gate is secured off hours and logging individual trucks/vendors in/out of the facility.
- Open the gate for individuals who are authorized to leave the premises and open gate at shift start and close as per Process.
- Notify Head of Security when there is a problem or an issue and complete appropriate incident report per process.
- Call authorities and remove individuals from property as directed and as per process.
- Handle company property for purposes of securitycar gate remote keys etc.
- Escort Drug Testing personnel on/off property.
- Escort all Emergency personnel on/off property and assist them to get to proper locations quickly to ensure safety of all employees.
- Any other safety related duties as requested by Head of Security and/or HR.
- Handle weather related notifications/actions as per Process/Protocol.
- Must remain calm under pressure.
Essential Requirements of the Security Guard:
- Must be a certified security guard with all appropriate and up to date/current documentation.
- Must be willing to submit to all appropriate background checks and Company required drug test.
- Must have at least 2 years security guard experience or commensurate experience with certification. a
- Must be flexible as shifts can change due to coverage and business need.
- Must follow all Company policies and procedures.
- Must come to work as scheduled and on time.
- Must have ability to read and understand basic instructions in English.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle as part of the position requirementssecurity car
- Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- There will be some use of a computer for email and Company updates and for general communication purposes familiarity with computers is required
Physical requirements:
This position requires the individual to work out of doors and in a factory/manufacturing environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk bend stoop twist turn climb and push/pull frequently. An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them. An individual in this role must move 10lbs frequently and up to 25lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and/or move and operate a motor vehicle around the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures. (English/Spanish instructions will be made available as needed)
