Job Description

Scope of Job
PowerFlex an EDF Renewables company is a leading national provider of intelligent onsite energy solutions that support carbonfree electrification and transportation. The Company delivers integrated solar storage EV charging and microgrid systems to businesses and organizations. As a single fullservice provider PowerFlex customizes clean technology solutions to help clients achieve their energy and sustainability goals. Through the comprehensive PowerFlex X platform PowerFlex leverages patented smart software to control monitor and optimize a clients distributed energy resources to reduce cost and maximize return on investment. Our technology was developed at Caltech deployed with research partners like NASA provenout with customers like Netflix and Childrens Hospital and now scaling to fleets corporations and municipalities nationwide.

The Software Products team is responsible for the energy management platform which orchestrates commercial solar and battery installations and EV Chargers. This role is responsible for the customerfacing portion of that platform allowing customers support agents and asset managers to monitor and control those distributed energy assets. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a product background and experience/interest in solar battery storage or EV charging to jump into a startup environment and help build out one of the most comprehensive and compelling renewable energy management platforms.

Location
This role will be a hybrid position based out of our Mountain View Office and the selected candidate will be expected to be inperson 34 days a week. We will only be able to consider applicants who are local to Mountain View or are willing to relocate.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for defining and executing a product vision strategy and roadmap that brings diverse elements into a cohesive solution that meets market needs. Specifically you will:

  • Lead the product strategy and roadmap for PowerFlexs energy management portal (Axcess)
  • Collaborate closely with customers customer service asset management and business development teams to understand and meet their needs.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from understanding customer needs writing specs prototyping delivering beta and production functionality measuring results and iterating.
  • Work closely with other product managers to ensure integrated product development and the seamless operation of solutions.
  • Be a user experience champion (working closely with UX) to ensure that the user experience is intuitive scalable and optimizes for key use cases.

Qualifications
Education/Experience

  • 5 years experience as a product manager
  • Strong background working for one or more technology or renewable energy companies as a product manager.
  • Solid understanding of the full product lifecycle from concept and design through to launch and postlaunch support with a strong track record of bringing successful products to market.
  • Startup experience preferred.
  • A strong interest in renewable energy preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • The ability to define and prioritize product requirements specifications and features based on customer needs market trends and business objectives.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a datadriven approach to decisionmaking and a strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to lead and inspire crossfunctional teams driving alignment accountability and results across diverse groups.
  • Experience with energy management systems.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $118400 $197300 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlexs comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical dental vision 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation as applicable). PowerFlexs compensation packages carefully consider a candidates qualifications experiences and education in relation to the position.

Physical Requirements
Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on the computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

Working Conditions
Approximately 90 of the time is spent in the office environment utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word MS Excel Outlook Access PowerPoint Publisher and Adobe etc. telephones and general office equipment. Possibly 10 of the time is spent traveling to conferences or meetings or field traveling to project sites.
