The Role
This role is a great entrylevel opportunity for a friendly diligent and detailoriented Enterprise Researcher to work in our Melbourne office. You will be part of a team that ensures high research standards across IBISWorlds Company database and publications. As an Enterprise Researcher you will contribute to our companys mission of helping clients make better business decisions by maintaining accurate and timely financial data and other information on Australias largest public and private companies.
You will be provided with onthejob training when you first join IBISWorld and will receive ongoing support from your colleagues as you learn about our product and your role.
Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing annual company results to extract specific data pertaining to financial results shareholders subsidiaries contact details and company structure
- Using online sources to supplement your research
- Telephoning individual companies to confirm specific information
- Updating IBISWorlds Enterprise database with researched information
- Participating in annual list projects and product releases
As a successful candidate you will have:
- An undergraduate degree in a businessrelated discipline (related experience and degrees considered)
- High attention to detail
- Familiarity with financial statements
- Confident telephone and communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting standards and the ASX
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated selfmotivation autonomy and initiative
- An interest in economic news and current events
