As our Manager Financial Reporting you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy compliance and quality of financial reporting across the Worley Group. As part of this role you will support the Groups monthly Board Audit and Risk Committee and external reporting requirements. In addition you will play a key part in executing key reporting priorities across the Group.

What youll do

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support key deliverables including the monthly Board report Audit and Risk committee papers and supporting documentation requirements.
  • Communicate guidance to the Group including key reporting and audit focus areas.
  • Play a key role in supporting the Groups audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the reporting process and drive other efficiency enhancements across the function.
  • Use indepth knowledge of accounting standards to analyse complex financial data transactions and reporting issues across the organisation.
  • Prepare the Groups technical position papers update/improve Worleys standards and policies and develop guidance and training materials for the Group.
  • Provide support and advice to the business on technical accounting issues and queries.
  • Work closely with Worleys M&A team to support decision making across the transaction lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the progress of the Groups Finance Transformation initiatives.
  • Support the Groups transition to Mandatory Sustainability Reporting.
  • Lead discussions with people across all aspects of the business while demonstrating an ability to translate technical accounting concepts to nonfinancial people.
  • Partner with other functions and nonfinance stakeholders to facilitate capital allocation and other business decisions.

What youll have

  • CA or equivalent professional qualification coupled with adegree in accounting and/or another appropriate academic major.
  • Significant experience as a Financial Accountant coupled with experience from within a large accounting firm.
  • A selfstarter who is able to work relatively autonomously taking full ownership of work streams within their remit.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to lead calls and collaborate with senior finance stakeholders and nonfinance stakeholders across the business.
  • Welldeveloped written communication skills with the ability to simplify accounting concepts and to convey them effectively to a broad audience.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS AAS and/or US GAAP) and the ability to translate it to a commercial context.
