In this position you will join a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to discover and build solutions to previouslyunsolved challenges and push the state of the art. We are looking for a driven and dedicated computer vision/machine learning engineer or researcher optimally with experience in 3D computer vision algorithms such as object detection pose estimation generative models or tracking. As a member of a fastpaced team you have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming products that will delight and inspire millions of people every day.
Description
Youll be working in a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to implement world class algorithms that pushes the state of the art. Your job responsibilities will include: Inventing and implementing state of the art computer vision algorithms to solve cutting edge problems Designing such algorithms to work reliably and efficiently on mobile devices Collaborating with other teams in software and hardware to ensure the full pipeline runs efficiently and utilizes Apple hardware effectively Cooperating with your team members to prepare presentations papers and talks to explain your inventions
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Vision or Machine Learning or M.Sc. in related field with 4 years of experience
- Strong experience in machine learning preferably in 3D computer vision
- Solid foundation in 3D geometry and linear algebra
- Solid experience in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in generative ML is a big plus
- Good experience in Python and science libraries like Numpy Pandas Matplotlib
- Experience in C is a plus
- Experience in 3D graphics and rendering is a big plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Track record of successfully building and shipping products or open source projects
- Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143100 and $214500 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apples discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apples Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
