Job Description

Position Overview:
Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Assessment and Evaluation for its Graduate Programs. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the development implementation and evaluation of academic programs with a focus on ensuring their effectiveness and continuous improvement. The Director will collaborate with various stakeholders across the University to enhance the quality of academic offerings primarily within graduate and professional programs though programmatic focus may shift based on evolving University needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of academic programs including curriculum development course structure and learning outcomes ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Stay informed on current accreditation standards and ensure compliance with any changes.
  • Regularly review and assess existing graduate programs to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with program leadership to update curricula as needed.
  • Collaborate with Deans Program Directors and faculty to align program design with institutional goals and student needs.
  • Evaluation and Assessment:
    • Develop comprehensive evaluation frameworks to measure student learning outcomes program effectiveness and impact on student success.
    • Oversee the collection analysis and interpretation of data including student performance faculty feedback and surveys from clinical placements and employers.
    • Create and implement datadriven strategies to address gaps and enhance program quality.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Generate indepth reports on program evaluation findings.
    • Present evaluation data to academic leadership faculty and stakeholders to inform strategic decisions and resource allocation.
  • Faculty Support and Development:
    • Partner with the Center for Teaching and Learning to offer professional development opportunities focused on teaching practices assessment strategies and curriculum development.
    • Collaborate with faculty to integrate assessment practices into course design and teaching.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Education Instructional Design or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in academic assessment and evaluation.
  • Expertise in both formative and summative assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty students and administrators.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced academic environment.
  • These qualifications may be waived for individuals with equivalent academic or administrative experience.
