You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen ensuring food preparation safety and cleanliness standards are met. The supervisor will manage kitchen staff coordinate meal production maintain inventory and ensure a high standard of quality and consistency in food service.
Supervise and manage the kitchen staff ensuring a productive efficient and positive working environment.
Oversee food preparation cooking and presentation to maintain highquality standards.
Train motivate and evaluate kitchen staff to ensure efficient and consistent operations.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained including proper handling storage and sanitation practices.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain kitchen functionality.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is wellmaintained and in working condition.
Implement portion control procedures and monitor food waste to optimize costs.
Assist in the development of new menu items and food preparation methods.
Maintain daily weekly and monthly kitchen operations reports as required by management.
Handle customer special requests dietary restrictions and complaints effectively and professionally.
Enforce and adhere to health and safety regulations and report any violations to the management.
Collaborate with the management team to ensure smooth service delivery and resolve issues promptly.
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor Chef de Partie or similar role.
Indepth knowledge of kitchen operations food safety standards and health regulations.
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of the role.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and ordering systems.
Leadership: Ability to lead by example and maintain order in the kitchen.
Attention to Detail: High standards for food quality and presentation.
Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff management and customers.
ProblemSolving: Ability to address issues quickly and effectively ensuring minimal disruption to service.
The role involves working in a busy kitchen environment with varying temperatures.
Flexibility in working hours including evenings weekends and holidays may be required.
