This is a remote position.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Internal Accounts person with proven experience using Spectrum (part of the Jobpac/Viewpoint) software specifically within a construction industry context to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our internal bookkeeping and administrative functions ensuring accurate financial records and facilitating the smooth integration of Spectrum into our daily operations. You will work closely with our existing team to maintain financial integrity provide valuable insights to support our business objectives and play a crucial role in job costing management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records within the Spectrum (Jobpac/Viewpoint) software system with a focus on its constructionspecific modules.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records.
Generate and analyse financial reports using Spectrum including utilising the Spectrum BI modules providing insights to management.
Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures.
Support the implementation and optimisation of Spectrum software including troubleshooting and training other staff members.
Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure seamless workflow and efficient data entry.
Maintain accurate job cost records including labor materials and subcontractor expenses within Spectrum.
Analyse job cost variances and provide reports to project managers.
Generate and review work in progress reports.
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting.
Provide general administrative support as needed.
Proven experience in an Internal Accounts or similar role preferably within the construction industry.
Extensive handson experience with Spectrum (Jobpac/Viewpoint) software is mandatory.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices with a focus on job costing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and timemanagement skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A minimum of an associates degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
Experience with simPRO is a plus.
