The Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development School of Education and Human Development (effective August 15 2024 the School of Education and Human Development will change its name to the College of Education and Human Development) at Texas A&M University invites applications for two fulltime Clinical Assistant Professors Academic Professional Track NonTenure positions in the Undergraduate Educational Human Resource Development program with a 9month academic appointment beginning September 1 2025.The salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidates qualifications and experience. Applicants will be considered for the Clinical Assistant Professor of Undergraduate Educational Human Resource Development program. We are especially interested in qualified candidates with extensive experience within the academic community through their teaching research and service with a vision for the program. The successful candidate will be expected to:
Expectations of responsibilities related to the position 80 teaching 10 research and 10 service.
Teach undergraduatelevel courses (four per semester) in the Undergraduate Human Resource Development program. Details on courses are available on the programs website: https://eahr.tamu/academics/humanresourcedevelopment/
Develop undergraduate courses in their area of Educational Human Resource Development (EHRD).
Maintain a record of excellence in teaching pertinent to EHRD.
Advise undergraduate students in the HRD program.
Publish creative and scholarly work in refereed journals appropriate to the faculty members subject matter area and present research findings at relevant industry meetings professional meetings or conferences based on your research appointment.
Seek grants contacts and other revenue sources to advance and sustain programmatic efforts in the subject area.
Support academic pursuits in the subject matter area through guest lectures undergraduate student mentorship and student research activities.
Contribute to the development of the profession through participation in national and/or international associations publications and/or other related activities.
Engage with external groups including state and federal government agencies stakeholder organizations industry and other entities to better understand issues and potential partners for addressing stakeholder needs in the field.
Demonstrate collegiality by serving on departmental/unit committees and demonstrating a track record of building effective working relationships across departments agencies and/or colleges.
Required Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Educational Human Resource Development (EHRD) or related field.
Evidence of experience teaching undergraduate courses in EHRD and/or closely related fields.
Evidence of the potential for developing an outstanding program and indications of strong mentorship and teaching skills are required.
A thorough understanding of EHRD philosophy theories and curriculum.
Keen interest in advising and mentoring undergraduate students in EHRD.
Evidence of scholarly productivity in the field of EHRD or closely related fields consistent with a Clinical Assistant Professor Academic Professional Track NonTenure Track faculty member at a researchextensive university.
Experience in EHRD practice through professional engagement.
Demonstrated ability to acquire extramural funding.
The ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals and groups at the university level as well as in the public and private sectors.
