We’re hiring a handson Audio Systems Engineer who will play a vital role in developing tuning and optimizing premium audio systems for both OEM and aftermarket applications. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across embedded electrical acoustic mechanical and vehicle integration teams to define highlevel system requirements and deliver immersive sound performance.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in acoustics and audio system design along with the ability to communicate ideas clearly lead acoustic tuning efforts and contribute to crossfunctional development projects.
Lead and maintain the audio signature and overall sound tuning across multiple vehicle and product platforms.
Work directly with product management to define acoustic performance targets.
Partner with embedded system engineers to build and maintain flexible DSP architectures.
Collaborate with electrical teams to specify develop and validate amplifier and electronic components.
Consult with the acoustics team on the specification development and validation of loudspeaker drivers.
Conduct audio system tuning and optimization to meet design intent and sound quality goals.
Organize and run listening evaluations collecting feedback for further tuning improvements.
Develop and carry out reliability tests for acoustic systems.
Provide technical guidance across engineering disciplines (mechanical amplifier embedded vehicle install) for integrated system development.
Interface with customers and OEM contacts to understand user needs and translate them into engineering goals.
Prepare and present detailed acoustic design presentations for suppliers clients and internal stakeholders across departments (including product development marketing and sales).
Bachelor’s degree in acoustics physics electrical engineering mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
Indepth understanding of acoustic and psychoacoustic principles and how to apply them.
Advanced experience in audio system design and systemlevel tuning.
Strong working knowledge of DSP components such as filters EQs limiters and compressors.
Handson experience with acoustic test tools including Klippel Audio Precision or similar.
Ability to troubleshoot complex vehiclelevel audio systems.
Positive collaborative team player who is open to learning and contributing in group environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills both technical and interpersonal.
Organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced setting.
1–3 years in an acoustic design engineering role.
Experience with loudspeaker or transducer design and product development.
A solid grasp of physics fundamentals as they apply to acoustics.
Familiarity with automotive data/infotainment protocols such as CAN A2B AVB etc.
Proficient in DSP programming platforms like SigmaStudio Audio Weaver etc.
Experience using simulation and modeling tools like Klippel SIM2 Loudsoft Suite (Fine Cone Fine Motor Fine Suspension Fine Xover Fine Box) FEMM etc.
Basic knowledge of Python LabVIEW or Excel scripting/macros for automation and testing.
Background in enclosure design and fabrication for speaker systems.
An active motorcycle license is a plus.
