Role: History Teacher
As a History Teacher you will be responsible for delivering highquality lessons that inspire and engage students in their study of history. You will support students in developing a wellrounded understanding of historical events figures and concepts. Your role will include:
As a History Teacher you should be planning preparing and delivering engaging and meaningful History lessons to students of various age groups (KS3 KS4 and KS5.
- Encouraging students to apply historical analysis and critical thinking skills in various contexts.
- Supporting students in their academic development providing guidance and assistance when needed.
- Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure a holistic approach to education.
- Contributing to the development of the History curriculum.
- Participating in the assessment and monitoring of student progress in History.
- Ensuring the effective delivery of the History syllabus.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment within the History department.
- As a qualified History Teacher you will be expected to attend departmental meetings.
Key Qualities We Are Looking For:
- A strong passion for History and a desire to support students historical understanding.
- A recognized teaching qualification in History or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching History to secondaryaged students is highly desirable.
- A passion for developing young people academically and critically.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a stimulating and collaborative team.
