The Relationship Officer is responsible for promoting and driving the sale of Loans and other
company s services to existing and potential clients. Gaining new clients as well as maintaining
existing ones development of new loans prompts. The person also manages the loan repayment
cycle and ensured adherence to policy and risk management
Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Marketing
- Selling all SBC products to potential and existing customers while meeting individual and business targets on a monthly basis.
- Identify sales prospects and follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Verification of a file and counter checking to ensure that all supporting documentation attached are sufficient to process a loan.
- Preparing and participating in weekly marketing and activation plans for promotion of
- Company s products and services.
- Create market awareness for the company s product.
- Accurate and timely application to disbursement of loans to ensure adherence to TAT
B. CX & Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
- Enhancement of customer experience ensuring all customer queries/complaints are conclusively resolved within the required times timeline.
- Follow up on updates of clients account statements /status.
C. Repayments Management
- Daily repayment follows up via cheque banking pay bill payments and any other mode of
- payment.
- Ensure debt collection and recovery procedures are followed to the latter in accordance with the company risk policies and procedures.
- Ensuring timely customer repayments updates on the shared tools
- Reporting
- Daily weekly and monthly performance reporting
- Conduct/Compliance
- Maintaining high levels of personal etiquette and conduct as stipulated in the company policies.

Requirements
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Banking from a recognized institution
- At least 3 years working experience in a creditrelated role in the financial industry
- Proficiency in ICT with strong MS Office and internet ability
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management and Stakeholders from varied backgrounds
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Planning and organization skills
- Problem solving skills
- Experience overseeing a business with more than 300 employees and an annual turnover exceeding 6 Billion shillings. - At least 10 years experience in senior management, minimum 3 years experience as an MD role of a MFI or Financial Services. - A deep knowledge of the latest developments in the financial industry. - Well organized, with excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask. - Innovative and entrepreneurial approach. - Develop positive relationships with business partners, investors, and senior management. - Strong leadership skills. Someone who sets a strong example and leads from the front. - Administration of Management Contracts and ensuring that all deliverables are met per the agreement and updated policies are in place.
Education
- MSc degree in business or tech, MBA preferred.
