You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur client a leading MNC in the maritime industry is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the technical management of their oceangoing vessels.
Fleet Manager
(based in India)
Organization : As the Technical Head you will report to senior leadership and manage a fleet of vessels leading a team of technical superintendents while ensuring operational efficiency budgeting dry docks and compliance.
Your responsibilities :
Be at the forefront of overseeing the Marine Technical and Safety operations of a fleet of vessels.
Planning organizing and monitoring the efficient resource management of all department superintendents and operation assistants/executives.
Play a crucial role in preparing the annual fleet operating budgets with inputs from all the Superintendents.
Monitor the expenditure against the budget explaining variances in the monthly report to the Senior Management with contributions from the Superintendents.
Plan coordinate and implement a systematic Planned Maintenance Program will be part of your responsibilities.
Oversee internal and external audits and reviews of ISM ISPS and ISO with the assistance of the Team Lead in the Safety & Training Department.
Be the point of contact for coordinating with the Company s insurance section for claim settlement with the respective superintendents.
Attend to casualty incident personnel accident investigation and reporting ensuring compliance with the various regulations.
Promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement will be a key aspect of your role.
Maintaining a harmonious working relationship among team members and colleagues while ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
A qualified Marine Engineer or equivalent diploma holder in marine/navigation.
Experience sailing on merchant vessel as a Chief Engineer is a must
At least 2 years as a Fleet Manager leading technical management of merchant vessel is a must
8 to 10 years relevant shorebased experience as a Technical Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
Solid expertise in managing dry docking projects.
Good stakeholder management skills ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance budgeting and adherence to strict and timely reporting frameworks.
Excellent communication and influencing skills to drive alignment and decisionmaking.
People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard and shored based teams.
Senior management role in a reputed company.
Leverage and build the capability of an established team.
