SUMMARY: An individual contributor who provides consultation and expertise to a business unit or region. Acts as a change agent and subject matter expert to or within the business unit to drive and support ELS continuous improvement efforts. This role is also accountable for the development deployment and coordination of ELS Improvement efforts across the division.
REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include but are not limited to:
- Drive the deployment of ELS Systems processes and tools across the Supply Chain for maximum effectiveness.
- Lead (sales marketing G&A) deployment of ELS systems processes and tools to ensure maximum effectiveness.
- Be a change agent challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements.
- Motivate others to accept process changes and take ownership.
- Report results and issues to ELS Manager.
- Train educate and mentor others in the organization on Lean/Sigma principles.
- Identify project opportunities within site or across business unit. Identify and remove organizational barriers to continuous improvement process.
- Drive sites layout and flow process improvement efforts. Drive efforts on applying best practices.
- Use the Value Stream Map to establish the baseline process and measure progress.
- Track and report on project Continuous Improvement metrics.
- Develop and lead a cadre of highly skilled ELS experts that may be deployed against largescale improvement initiatives as well as serving as internal consultants facilitators and educators on ELS.
- Develop and implement mechanism to track and report ELS project status and progress.
- Drive the development and management of the core project management training curricula tools and processes. Will require integration and alignment with certain core corporate project management platforms.
- Business/functional leader responsible for driving Enterprise Lean Sigma throughout the business/function with sustainable results.
- Execute/support Hoshin planning (longrange key objectives).
- Build relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives and priorities and to collaboratively develop supporting process improvement initiatives.
- Act as a catalyst for the sharing and implementation of best practices across all businesses.
- Develop deploy and track ELS training.
Qualifications :
- 7 years business experience with handson experience as an internal consultant emphasizing curriculum development.
- Excellent overall business acumen and organizational savvy.
- Proven ability to develop influential relationships a multiple levels within an organization.
- Demonstrated success in bringing about changes in an organization via consensus building and influencing all levels of an organization.
- Excellent project management skills including and follow up assessment improvement balanced with business priorities.
- Understanding of applicable computer systems such as Microsoft Office Lotus Notes and function specific software.
