The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting process ensuring compliance with tax regulations managing financial statements and assisting in budgeting and financial analysis. The role requires expertise in accounting principles financial reporting and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:
Maintain and oversee the general ledger and ensure accuracy in accounting records.
Prepare and review financial statements including profit & loss balance sheet and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Reconcile bank statements accounts payable and receivable.
2. Taxation & Compliance:
Prepare and file GST TDS and income tax returns.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and tax laws.
Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and implement necessary changes.
3. Budgeting & Financial Planning:
Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial planning.
Analyze financial data and provide insights for cost control and profitability improvement.
Assist in financial decisionmaking by providing reports and recommendations.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
Supervise invoicing collections and payment processing.
Ensure timely reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts.
Monitor outstanding dues and follow up for payments.
5. Payroll & Expense Management:
Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax deductions and employee benefits.
Monitor and control business expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
6. Coordination & Team Management:
Work closely with finance teams auditors and external consultants.
Train and supervise junior accountants and finance executives.
