Job Description

Job Title: Reservations Manager

Location: Park Hotel Kenmare Kenmare Co. Kerry

Department: Reservations

Reports To: General Manager

Job Summary:

Park Hotel Kenmare is seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Reservations Manager. This role is integral in managing reservations operations optimising room revenue and ensuring a seamless booking experience in alignment with the hotels luxury brand standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highend hospitality properties exceptional organisational skills and a passion for delivering unparalleled customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the reservations department to ensure seamless and efficient booking processes.
  • Maintain the highest level of guest customer service and care ensuring all reservations inquiries (phone email online) are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Implement and oversee revenue optimisation strategies in collaboration with the Accounts team.
  • Ensure accurate room inventory management and coordinate with the Sales Front Office and Revenue teams to maximise occupancy and revenue.
  • Train mentor and lead the reservations team to uphold the hotels standards of excellence.
  • Monitor and analyse reservations data to identify trends forecasting demand adjusting pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services amenities and promotions to effectively upsell and crosssell.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and industry standards maintaining accuracy in all reservationsrelated transactions.
  • Foster relationships with VIP guests travel agencies and corporate clients to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies for various booking channels.
  • Address and resolve any guest concerns related to reservations in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business or a related field preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in a luxury hotel reservations or front office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel property management systems (e.g. Opera Hotsoft Guestline or a similar PMS and CRS).
  • Proven track record of revenue management pricing strategies and yield management.
  • Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailoriented with strong organisational and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
