headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation with Each as a leading agency since 2006. We provide early intervention mental health services to 1225yearolds across Australia offering support through over 145 communities online and phone counselling vocational services and schools.
Your Role Your Impact
We are seeking a compassionate Intake and Brief Intervention Clinician to provide engaging clientfocused intake and service access for young people their families and stakeholders. You will assess clients needs deliver evidencebased mental health interventions for mild to moderate issues and engage families in treatment planning. This role involves flexible service delivery in the community presenting cases at clinical reviews and maintaining strong local agency relationships. You will also support students on placement conduct health promotion activities and ensure accurate client records. Additionally youll collaborate on projectbased clinical work with the Intake Team Leader and Clinical Lead.
Who Were Looking For
- Highly developed assessment & therapeutic counselling skills with young people
- Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders i.e. young people GPs schools government agencies private practitioners etc.
- Highly developed interpersonal verbal and written communication skills problem solving and negotiation skills especially with young people in the early stages of help seeking.
- Ability to multitask set priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Effective written and oral communication skills including proven skills in negotiating developing and managing cooperative relationships and constructive communication
- Adhere to Victorian Privacy LawsInformation Privacy Act 2000 and the Health Records Act 2001
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation policies and issues informing health services for young people and families along with an understanding of the Primary Health Care sector.

Qualifications :
- Holds a minimum Bachelor level qualification in a related discipline
- Completion of a Criminal History Check and Employee Working with Children Check (or State equivalent) prior to commencement of employment and as required by legislation and policy during employment as well as a duty to disclose relevant information that may arise after employment has commenced
- Current statebased drivers license (Desirable)
