40Summary:
Works collaboratively with the study team to coordinate and conduct clinical research studies and trials primarily of an investigatorinitiated nature. Ensures studies are conducted according to protocols regulations and ethical standards while providing highquality care to research participants. Combines expert nursing skills with specialized research knowledge to ensure safe ethical and highquality of clinical trials.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university required.
2 years of experience in clinical research required.
Proficiency with electronic data capture systems and medical terminology required.
Must have clinical assessment documentation and organizational skills.
Must have demonstrated interpersonal communication and problemsolving abilities.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Must have strong knowledge of clinical research regulations Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ethical principles.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a healthcare related field (e.g. Nursing Science Clinical Research Management Public Health etc. from an accredited college or university.
Experience with specific research procedures (e.g. IV starts pharmacokinetic sampling).
Formal training in research methodology or clinical trial operations.
Licensure Registration and/or Certification
Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required.
Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or equivalent certification preferred.
