Job Description:
We are looking for a Job Coach/Employment Specialist to join our team at APL Associates. As a private agency focused on vocational rehabilitation we aim to develop employment opportunities for our clients through various programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals with disabilities to help them secure and maintain meaningful employment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess clients skills interests and abilities to determine suitable employment opportunities
- Develop individualized employment plans and assist clients in setting career goals
- Provide job search assistance resume writing and interview preparation support
- Collaborate with employers to identify job openings and secure competitive employment for clients
- Deliver onsite and offsite coaching to ensure successful job placement and retention
- Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support to address any workplace challenges
- Advocate for clients needs and rights in the workplace
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Counseling Psychology Social Work or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of vocational rehabilitation principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for helping individuals with disabilities achieve their employment goals
Desired Experience:
- 12 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation job coaching or related field
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with local labor market trends and job development strategies
Salary & Benefits:
- Minimum Salary: $39500 per year
- Maximum Salary: $55000 per year
