Qualified in Primary English Education (or equivalent) with relevant teaching experience.
Proficient in the English Curriculum (CDCHK/UK National Curriculum) with a commitment to holistic education.

Leadership & Vision:
- Lead and inspire the Primary English department fostering a positive inclusive and highachieving learning environment.
- Develop and implement a strategic oneyear departmental plan aligned with the school s overall vision and curriculum.
Curriculum & Teaching Excellence:
- Design implement and continually enhance a dynamic English curriculum that integrates core values leadership attributes and crosscurricular elements.
- Mentor and manage English Language teachers ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Assessment & Performance:
- Establish robust assessment strategies to track student progress and ensure academic excellence.
- Conduct effective performance appraisals and maintain strong communication with stakeholders including senior leaders parents and the board.
Pastoral Care & Community Engagement:
- Promote student wellbeing and personal development maintaining strong links with parents the community and external partners.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and contribute to the school s inclusive and respectful culture.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in extracurricular activities school events and where applicable boarding support.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to schoolwide initiatives.
