Purpose of role: Launch vehicle sizing Launch vehicle trajectory optimization and Mission design. Design and automate trajectory optimization process to generate launch vehicle ascent and descent trajectories.
Responsibilities:
1. Launch vehicle sizing and payload feasibility studies for different vehicle configurations and orbits.
2. Perform sensitivity analysis to determine the effects of each parameter/constraint on the payload carrying capability of the launch vehicle.
3. Perform trajectory optimization and generate optimal trajectory for launch vehicles to different orbits.
4. Day of launch wind biased steering design and support day of launch activities and automate residual manual tasks.
5. Develop trajectory correction algorithm to avoid unacceptable IIP trace and stage impact points.
Technical Skills In order of Priority
1. Strong understanding of flight dynamics and orbital mechanics modelling/simulation.
2. Capable of solving complex problems under minimal supervision as an individual or as a member of integrated team.
3. Exposure to optimization methods is essential.
4. Flair for highlevel language like C/C etc is essential along with good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
Qualification:
Essential:
1. Master s degree in Aerospace engineering (or equivalent)
Preferable:
1. Research paper published in journal/conference.
2. Previous experience in similar domain.
Strong understanding of flight dynamics and orbital mechanics, modelling/simulation. 2. Capable of solving complex problems under minimal supervision as an individual or as a member of integrated team. 3. Exposure to optimization methods is essential. 4.
