Job Description
Job Summary
The Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) Level 2 shall have full oversight of the safety program initiatives at CMIs customer sites in Florida: Miami West Palm Beach and Dania Beach.
Key Job Functions
- Oversight and implementation of the Accident Prevention Plan
- Prepare and enforce the client safety program
- Conduct personnel and equipment inspections daily
- Conduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsite
- Conduct mishap investigations
- Maintain applicable safety reference material at the jobsite
- Attend preconstruction conference pre work meetings and three phase inspection meetings
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree
- At least three 3 years of experience within the past 10 years in preparing and enforcing safety programs and implementing Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) programs for a federal agency that has multiple site locations and a contract value of at least $500K per year or more.
- Current OSHA 30hour construction safety training
- 24 hours of documented formal classroom or online Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) related training within the past 5 years
- Ability to speak read and comprehend English to effectively perform these job functions and comply with installation emergency procedures
