We are looking for a dedicated Health Educator to join Lakepoint Wichitas team in Wichita. As a Health Educator you will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness within the community. Your work will be essential in educating individuals on various health topics empowering them to make informed decisions about their well-being. This position involves creating and implementing educational programs workshops and resources to improve the overall health of the community.
As a Health Educator at Lakepoint Wichita you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly contribute to the betterment of individuals health. Your role is vital in raising awareness about preventive care healthy lifestyle choices and disease management. By utilizing your expertise in health education you will help drive positive behavioral changes and improve the overall quality of life for community members.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health education programs and initiatives.
- Conduct assessments to identify the communitys health needs.
- Deliver presentations and workshops on various health topics.
- Create educational materials such as brochures videos and online resources.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote health awareness.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of health education programs.
- Provide one-on-one health counseling and support.
- Organize health screenings and wellness events.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Health Education Public Health or related field.
- Certification in Health Education (e.g. CHES) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in developing and implementing health education programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational software.
- Passion for promoting health and wellness in the community.
