Job Description
- Perform network modeling analysis and planning.
- Design implement and maintain network infrastructure for telecommunications services.
- Ensure network security and perform regular security assessments.
- Monitor Install splice and maintain fiber optic cables and networks.
- Configure and manage network equipment including Cisco Juniper and Mikrotik devices.
- Monitor network performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds.
- Troubleshoot network issues and perform regular maintenance.
- Document network configurations and maintain accurate records.
- Design and implement IP network solutions for a telecommunications business.
- Provide engineering support for network technologies such as BGP OSPF MPLS/VPLS VPN and QoS.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs patches hotfixes and security configurations
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in ISP or Telecom environment.
- Minimum bachelors qualification in telecommunications engineering or any related field.
- Proficiency in fiber optic technologies (e.g. OTDR fusion splicing).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP MPLS BGP OSPF).
- Experience with network hardware (Sophos Cisco Juniper Mikrotik) and software tools.
Preferred Certifications(Added Advantage):
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT).
- CompTIA Network.
