- Estimated Compensation: $52.75 $58.25 per hour
- Type of Employment: At least 20 hours per month.
- Period of Performance: Base year 1 with two 2 option years.
- Relationship: 1099 Independent Contractor.
Summary
The Forensic Psychologist will collaborate with Threat Assessment Management Unit (TAMU) detectives on active cases providing written reports and recommendations within agreed timelines. The contract anticipates a commitment of 20 hours a month with flexibility for urgent consultations and regular reporting to the TAMU supervisor.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania in good standing.
- At least five years of experience conducting forensic psychological evaluations.
- Proficiency in standardized testing for adults and juveniles.
- Experience performing psychological assessments for incarcerated individuals.
- Proven experience with clients who have dual diagnoses or traumatic brain injuries.
- Background working with clients who have intellectual disabilities.
- Familiarity with courtroom procedures and providing expert testimony.
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Clinical experience assessing and managing domestic abusers.
- Experience designing and delivering training for law enforcement or judicial audiences.
- Experience with diverse populations reflective of Montgomery Countys demographics.
- Skills in crisis intervention and behavioral management.
- Familiarity with current threat assessment and forensic psychology literature.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic psychological evaluations including risk assessments for violence.
- Utilize standardized testing for adults and juveniles.
- Perform psychological assessments for incarcerated individuals addressing trauma and cooccurring disorders.
- Provide expertise in managing clients with dual diagnoses (e.g. mental illness and substance abuse) or traumatic brain injuries.
- Work with clients who have intellectual disabilities alongside psychological disorders.
- Offer expert testimony in court ideally within the Montgomery County Court System.
- Respond promptly to timesensitive situations on an emergent basis.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information and records collected on behalf of TAMU.
- Develop and deliver training on psychological disorders substance use and intellectual disabilities for law enforcement or judicial audiences.
- Apply skills in deescalation and behavioral management of highrisk individuals.
- Stay updated with current threat assessment and forensic psychology literature.
